St. Joseph’s Convent School, Khasa is a Catholic school owned and administered by the Diocese of Jalandhar, a registered religious and charitable society. It was primarily established for Christian minority children, though others are admitted based on merit and availability. The school follows the ICSE syllabus, New Delhi.
Foundation Stone & Inauguration of School
The foundation stone was laid by Rt. Rev. Dr. Symphorian Keeprath, Bishop of Jalandhar, on 17th June 2000. The blessing and inauguration took place on 7th March 2001.
First Session of the School
The first academic session began in 2001 with 200 students under the guidance of founder Principal Rev. Sr. Rose Mary and Director Rev. Fr. John. The institution grew steadily, fostering knowledge and personality development.
Motto of the School
The school began with its inspiring motto — “Light, Love, Service.”
Expansion of the School Building
Rev. Fr. Jacob and Rev. Fr. Mathew Kokkandam contributed their dedicated efforts for the construction and completion of the second and third floors of the school building.
School Affiliation
The school achieved its ICSE affiliation in 2014 under the affiliation number PU110.
First Batch Appearing for Board Examination
The first batch of Class X appeared for the ICSE Board examination in February 2015, achieving 100% results every year since then — thanks to the dedication of staff and support from the Managing Committee.
Inauguration of Auditorium
The newly constructed auditorium was blessed and inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Agnelo Ruffino Gracias, Auxiliary Bishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Bombay, on 7th December 2018.
